Central Computing Facility

Centre for Continuing Education Kerala, situated in Thiruvanathapuram, is an autonomous body set up by the Government of Kerala to promote continuing education programmes in Engineering Colleges/ Arts & Science Colleges and Polytechnic Colleges in the State of Kerala, India. The Centre is dedicated entirely to the growth and development of technical education, industry, business and social amelioration. (web : ccek.org)

A subcentre of CEC is functioning in GWPC Thrissur to by following the rules and regulations of the CEC. Many programmes were conducted including PGDCA, Free programme "Step 4 U" for SC/ST students, Special Training programme for inmates of Central Prison, Thrissur. Revenue generated from these programmes is utilising for the development of the institution.

PEOs - Computer Engineering

  • PEO-1: Excel in professional career and / or higher education by acquiring knowledge in the area of Computer Science and Engineering.
  • PEO-2: Prepare to be employed in IT industries and be engaged in learning, understanding, and applying new ideas.
  • PEO-3: Able to design and evaluate appropriate systems to provide solutions in Computer related field that are technically sound, economically feasible and socially acceptable.
  • PEO-4: Mould responsible computer Engineers with professionalism, ethical attitudes, communication skills, self-learning and team work in their profession.

Program Outcomes (POs)

  • Basic knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering to solve the engineering problems.
  • Discipline knowledge: An ability to apply discipline - specific knowledge to solve core and/or applied engineering problems.
  • Experiments and practice: An ability to plan and perform experiments and practices and touse the results to solve engineering problems.
  • Engineering Tools: Apply appropriate technologies and tools with an understanding of the limitations.
  • The engineer and society: Demonstrate knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legaland cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering practice.
  • Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable development.
